Welcome to Oak Hill Elementary School!
Hello, Oak Hill Bulldogs!
It is with great excitement and gratitude that I welcome you to Oak Hill Elementary School, home of our amazing Red and Black Bulldogs. I am honored to serve as your Principal and to be part of such a caring and successful school community. The faculty and staff join me in saying how happy we are to have you as part of the Oak Hill Family!
My name is Kimberlee Sorrell, Ed.S., and I bring more than 30 years of experience in education, serving students and families from Pre-K through Grade 12 as a teacher, assistant principal, and principal. As I begin this new chapter at Oak Hill, I do so with great respect for the legacy of Dr. Brenda Gammans and the strong foundation she has built in her 23 years of leadership at our Oak Hill. Together with our dedicated staff, we will continue to honor Oak Hill’s tradition of excellence and our motto: “Knowledge Grows Here.”
At Oak Hill, we believe that strong partnerships between home and school help students achieve their very best. I encourage you to check our website, email, and School Messenger often for important information, upcoming events, PTO updates, school resources, cafeteria menus, Infinite Campus links, and much more. Staying connected helps us work together to support every child’s success.
One of the most important ways you can support your child is by helping establish strong attendance habits. Daily attendance and arriving on time ensure that students receive the full benefit of every instructional day. Together, we can create positive routines that help our Bulldogs learn, grow, and thrive. We are committed to building on that success by providing a safe, supportive, and engaging learning environment where every student is challenged, encouraged, and celebrated. We need our Bulldogs in school every day for this to happen.
