January 8th Newsletter

Dear Parents and Guardians,

Welcome back!  I hope that you and your family had a very happy holiday season.  The purpose of this letter is to give you some updates and reminders.

1. If you have changed your phone number, please call the main office to give us that information.  We need to have updated information in case there is an emergency.

2. The following are some dates of interest.  Please mark them on your calendar.
Jan. 9 Report cards issued to students
Jan. 20 MLK Holiday – schools closed
Feb. 7 Early release – parent conferences
Feb. 7 Valentine’s dance 5-7 p.m.
Feb. 7-13 Book Fair – Media Center

Mar. 13 Early Release Day
Mar. 19 Report Cards Issued

3. We are now in the season for inclement weather.  Please make sure that we have a correct phone number in our system for Student Messenger calls.   If you are not receiving phone messages from the Student Messenger system or have changed your phone number, please let Ms. Carmichael in the main office know.   This is one way the school system lets parents know if their will be school or school opening late when there is inclement weather.

4. Please be sure and check the Oak Hill website.  It contains information on upcoming events.  It also contains links for both parents and students.  Our web address is https://ohes.newtoncountyschools.org/.

If you have any questions, or if I can assist you in any way, please contact me.
Sincerely,

Brenda Gammans, Ph.D.
Principal
