Dear Parents and Guardians
We have had a great opening of school. The purpose of this letter is to give you some information and reminders

1. Curriculum Night is August 22 at 6:30 for Kindergarten-5th grade students. There will be a brief PTO meeting and Title I Orientation. You will have the opportunity to visit the teachers in the grade level where your children are enrolled and find out about the expectations and requirements for your child this year. 

2. Do you want to help the school? Don't forget to save your "BOX TOPS." Box tops can be found on hundreds of items in grocery stores. More information about Box Tops will be coming soon.

3. Please visit our school website often. It contains links to my big campus, e- books, a school calendar, and various other information. Our address I

4. For safety reasons, student check-outs after 1:45 p.m. are not permitted. To check out a student, the person must report to the office, have ID, and be listed on the child's information card as having permission to check out the child.

5. As a part of its ongoing safety improvement plan, the school system has installed a video intercom system at the main entrance to Oak Hill Elementary School. All visitors must press the call button on the video intercom to notify front office staff in order to gain admittance to the building.

6. There is a position open on School Council. The School Council meets 4 times a year. If you are interested in this position please contact me.

7. The following are some dates to add to your calendar:
Aug. 13          Pre-K Orientation 6:00 p.m. 
Aug. 22          School Pictures - individual only - for yearbooks 
Aug. 22          Curriculum Night/PTO/Title I Orientation - 6:30 p.m. in the cafeteria
Aug. 23          Early Release Day- students dismissed at 11 :15 a.m. 
Sept. 2            Labor Day Holiday 
Sept. 6-13    Book Fair 
Sept. 4            School Council Meeting, 7:30 a.m., Room 3 
Sept. 13         Early Release Day - students dismissed at 11:15 a.m 
Oct. 7-11      Fall Break - Schools closed 
Oct. 18           PTO Fall Festival 

8. If you need to change the way your child goes home, please send a signed and dated note with a phone number for verification. You can also send an email before 1:00 Please do not email teachers or office staff to make transportation changes. We are unable to make transportation changes over the phone or from emails to teachers and staff.
